Women’s Soccer Suffers First Conference Loss, 4-0 at Drew

Madison, NJ (September 20, 2005) – The DeSales University women’s soccer team suffered a 4-0 loss at Drew University in the 2005 Freedom Conference season opener for both teams on Tuesday evening under the lights at Ranger Stadium.
 
        Drew (4-2, 1-0 Freedom) scored two goals in each half and got on the board early scoring twice in the first 13 minutes to take a 2-0 lead.  The Rangers were held without a goal over the next 60 minutes but broke thru in the second half in the 71st minute to put the game out of reach for the Bulldogs (4-3, 0-1 Freedom).
 
        Junior Kelly Hinkle (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) made five saves in between the pipes as DSU was out-shot, 13-3, in the game.

         DeSales returns to action on Wednesday, September 28th as they host Delaware Valley College in another Freedom Conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
