Aston, PA (September 7, 2005) – Freshman Dana Eustace (Highland Lakes, NJ/Vernon Township) scored her second goal of the season and the lone goal of the game to lead the DeSales University women’s soccer team past Neumann College, 1-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

 

        Eustace hustle paid off late in the game as she took control of a ball mishandled by the Neumann defense and deposited it into the corner of the net for the lone tally of the game.  The marker came at the 80:03 mark of the second half.

 

        Junior Kelly Hinkle (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) was superb in net all day long as she made nine saves to preserve her second shutout of the season for DeSales (2-0 overall).  The Bulldogs were out-shot 14-12 by the Knights (2-1-1 overall) but held an 8-2 lead in corner kicks.
