Trailing 14-8 at the 12:23 mark of the first half, DSU went on a 20-7 run over the next eight minutes to take a 28-21 lead.  Lutz led the spurt with 11 points while a pair of freshmen, Kim Rarick (Ringtown, PA/North Schuylkill) and Lindsey Sykes (Avalon, NJ/Middle Township), tallied the other nine points for the Bulldogs.  The lead went as high as nine points twice before a jumper at the buzzer by the Aggies’ Shannon O’Neill made it 35-28 at the half.

An 8-0 run out of the locker room by Delaware Valley gave the Aggies a 36-35 lead.  Treys by Moira Donohue and Juli McGowan highlighted the run.  DSU answered with a 12-3 run that broke a tie at 38 and gave the hosts a 50-41 advantage.  All five starters scored during the run with Rarick tallying four points to lead the way.

The Aggies got within three at the 9:17 mark but three straight jumpers by sophomore Amanda Kuperavage (Port Carbon, PA/Nativity BVM) pushed the lead back to nine and DSU never looked back the rest of the way.

In addition the 25 points and 12 rebounds, Lutz totaled five assists and three steals in the win.  Rarick finished with season-highs of 18 points and seven assists and Kuperavage totaled 16 points and seven rebounds.  Freshman LeighAnn Burke (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) scored just five points but did contribute in other ways with six rebounds, six assists and three steals.
