Elizabethtown, PA (October 20, 2006) – The DeSales University volleyball team lost its second straight match on Friday evening, 3-0 (30-19, 30-24, 30-28), at Elizabethtown College in non-conference action.

 

        Freshman Jen Mellon (Media, PA.Penncrest) had a team-high 10 kills to move her within 10 kills of becoming just the second player in DSU history to record 400+ kills in a season.  Fellow freshman Jeri Detsch (Bethlehem, PA/Dieruff) also had an excellent match totaling 10 kills and eight digs.

 

        Sophomore Ashley Grube (Orwigsburg, PA/Blue Mountain) tallied five kills and three blocks, freshman Kerri Andrews (Bethlehem. PA/Bethlehem Catholic) had seven kills, a team-high 16 digs and one block, sophomore Sharon Uliana (Fleetwood, PA/Reading Central Catholic) had 32 assists, eight digs and three blocks and junior Gia Zimmerman (Blandon, PA/Reading Central Catholic) rounded out the team leaders with eight digs.
