DeSales Men Compete at Susquehanna Invitational

Senior Lou Corominas took sixth place in the 800-meters at the Susquehanna University Invitational on Friday evening.
Selinsgrove, PA, (February 17, 2006) – The DeSales University men’s track and field team competed at the Susquehanna University Invitational on Friday evening in Selinsgrove, PA.
 
        There was no team scoring but several individuals faired well during the meet including senior Lou Corominas (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown) who took sixth place in the 800-meters in a time of 2:01.34.  Junior John Deas (Haverford, PA/Archbishop Carroll) took 10th place in the 400-meter dash in a time of 53.35.
 
        Sophomore John Nastus (Somerset, NJ/Rutgers Prep) took eighth in the 3,000-meters in a time of 9:20.53 and the 4x200-meter relay consisting of senior Glenn Thomas (Tewkesbury, England/Bredon School) , sophomore Nick Razler (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge), Deas and Corominas qualified for the ECAC Championships with a sixth place finish in a time of 1:34.88.
 
        The distance medley team consisting of sophomore Anthony Naimo (Northvale, NJ/Bergen Catholic), junior Bob Burke (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan), junior John McHugh (Kintnersville, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) and junior Nick Reichert (Schuylkill Haven, PA/Schuylkill Haven) also ran well taking second place in a time of 11:08.87.
 
        In the field events sophomore Jeremy Morse (Ashland, MA/Ashland) faired the best taking second place with a jump of 6-02.00.

         DSU returns to action on Saturday, February 25th as they travel back to Susquehanna University for the MAC Indoor Championships.
