Immaculata, PA, (September 18, 2006) – The DeSales University women’s tennis team got back on the winning track on Monday afternoon traveling to Immaculata University and leaving with a 9-0 win over the Mighty Macs.

 

        Junior Courtney McClurkin (Collegeville, PA/Spring-Ford) led the way as she won at the No. 1 singles spot, 6-0, 6-0.  Junior Liz Guidon (Northampton, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) won at the No. 2 spot 6-1, 6-0, junior Mary Kate McElvaney (Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert) earned a win at the No. 3 spot, 6-0, 6-0, senior Colleen Solomon (Catasauqua, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) won 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 4 spot, sophomore Caitlin Gerlach (Oak Ridge, NJ/West Milford) earned a win at the No. 5 spot, 6-0, 6-0 and freshman Nickie Brackbill (Paradise, PA/Pequea Valley) won at the No. 6 spot, 6-1, 6-0.

 

        In doubles action McClurkin and McElvaney won at the No. 1 spot, 8-5, Guidon and Gerlach won at the No. 2 spot, 8-1 and Solomon and Brackbill won at the No. 3 spot, 8-0.
