Center Valley, PA (September 26, 2006) – Four different players tallied eight or more kills to lead the DeSales University volleyball team past Delaware Valley College, 3-0 (30-25, 30-20, 30-18), in a Freedom Conference match on Tuesday evening in Billera Hall.

 

        Freshman Jen Mellon (Media, PA/Penncrest) tallied a team-high 13 kills to lead the balanced attack.  Junior Allie Boyer (Douglassville, PA/Daniel Boone) added 10 kills, freshman Jeri Detsch (Bethlehem, PA/Dieruff) had eight kills and junior Molly Motley (Hatfield, PA/Lansdale Catholic) totaled eight kills.

 

        Detsch and Motley each added two blocks, junior Gia Zimmerman (Blandon, PA/Reading Central Catholic) registered a team-high 11 digs and sophomore Sharon Uliana (Fleetwood, PA/Reading Central Catholic) dished out 26 assists and had nine digs.  Senior Michelle Rehnert (Pottsville, PA/Nativity BVM) rounded out the leaders with four service aces.
