Bulldogs fall to local rival Moravian, 3-0

Junior Molly Motley totaled a team-high nine kills in the 3-0 loss to Moravian on Tuesday evening.
 
Center Valley, PA (September 5, 2006) – The DeSales University volleyball team hosted local rival Moravian College in the 2006 season home opener and fell to the Greyhounds, 3-0 (30-21, 30-17, 30-18) on Tuesday evening in Billera Hall.
 
       DSU was led by junior Molly Motley (Hatfield, PA/Lansdale Catholic) who totaled a team-high nine kills and added one block.  Freshman Kerri Andrews (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) played well totaling five kills and just one error in two games played and fellow freshman Jeri Detsch (Bethlehem, PA/Dieruff) saw the first game action of her career, returning from an ankle injury to record one kill in limited time.

      The Bulldogs will return to action on Wednesday evening as they take to the road to face Widener University in a non-conference match set to begin at 7:00 pm.
