Bulldogs fall to Mules, 1-0

Senior Kelly Hinkle made 11 saves in the 1-0 loss at Muhlenberg on Friday evening.
 
Allentown, PA (September 8, 2006) – The DeSales University women’s soccer team dropped its second straight game to start the 2006 season falling to local rival Muhlenberg College, 1-0, on Friday evening.
 
        The Mules (2-0 overall) controlled most of the play on the evening but managed just one tally thanks to stellar defense and goalkeeper play by the Bulldogs (0-2 overall).  The game-winner came mid-way thru the second half was scored by Kasey Hacker who beat her defender and the goalkeeper before firing the ball into the net.
 
        Muhlenberg held a 21-4 advantage in shots and had an 8-2 lead in corner kicks.  Senior Kelly Hinkle (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) was excellent in between the pipes making 11 saves.

        DSU returns to action on Saturday when they host Rhode Island College at 2:00 pm.
