BOX SCORE

Center Valley, PA (October 1, 2007) – Junior Dana Eustace (Highland Lakes, NJ/Vernon Township) scored the game-winning goal with 5:56 left on the clock leading the DeSales University women's soccer team past Albright College, 2-1, on Monday afternoon in a non-conference game.

In the final non-conference game before the Bulldogs (3-7-1 overall) begin Freedom Conference play, Eustace scored on a header off a centering pass into the box by freshman Jill Yetter (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) who earned her second assist of the day on the play. The goal was Eustace' fourth of the season and her third in the last two games.

Albright (5-5-1 overall) had taken a 1-0 lead 4:36 into the game when a loose ball in the box was controlled by Erin Helm and she knocked it into the right corner off the post and into the net for her third tally of the season. The Bulldogs tied the game at 18:12 on virtually the same play as Eustace game-winner. Yetter sent a beautiful pass into the box from the right corner that sailed to the back post where freshman Kaitlyn Gover (Northampton, PA/Northampton) was unmarked and she sent a header back to the right corner for her second goal of the season.

DSU controlled most of the game out-shooting Albright, 22-12, as sophomore Katie Halpin (Easton, PA/Notre Dame) made six saves for the Bulldogs. Jess Schmura had 10 stops for the Lions.

The Bulldogs will return to action on Saturday, October 6th when they travel to Arcadia University for the first Freedom Conference game of the season beginning at Noon.
