Four Players Reach Double Digits in 79-43 Win over Neumann

Senior Jenna Stampf had a career-high 16 points in the win over Neumann College on Monday evening.

Center Valley, Pa. (December 3, 2007) – Four players reached double digits and the DeSales University women's basketball team shot 51.6 percent from the field in a 79-43 win over Neumann College in a non-conference game on Monday evening in Billera Hall.
 
        The Bulldogs (6-1 overall) had runs of 10-0 in the first half and 12-0 in the second half that put away the Knights (3-3 overall). In the first half, DSU shot 14-of-27 from the field but committed 12 turnovers and allowed 11 second chance points to Neumann keeping the Knights in the game. In the second half, DeSales out-rebounded NC, 28-15 and committed just nine turnovers to cruise home with the victory.
 
        Among the four double figure scorers was the junior backcourt tandem of LeighAnn Burke (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) with a game-high 18 points and Kim Rarick (Ringtown, PA/North Schuylkill) with 14 points and a game-high eight assists.
 
         Senior Jenna Stampf (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) came off the bench to score a career-high 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting and sophomore Kelly Magrann (Sinking Spring, PA/Hole Name) had her second straight strong effort off the bench with a season-high 13 points on 3-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc.
