Center Valley, PA (March 22, 2007) – The DeSales University men’s team suffered a 5-1 rain shortened loss to visiting Neumann College in the 2007 season opener on Thursday afternoon.
Earning the lone point for the Bulldogs (0-1 overall) was senior Ernie Justice (Blue Ball, PA/Garden Spot) and sophomore Jake Hoover (Morrisville, PA/Notre Dame) at the No. 1 doubles spot with an 8-1 win.
The match was called with Neumann (2-0 overall) leading 5-1 after taking the first three singles matches and leading the other three when rain started to fall on the courts.
DeSales returns to action on Saturday, March 24th when they travel to Lycoming College for a Freedom Conference match beginning at 1:00 pm.
