Allentown, PA (March 26, 2007) – The DeSales University men’s tennis suffered an 8-1 loss to local rival Muhlenberg College in a non-conference match on Monday evening.
The lone winner for the Bulldogs was junior Antony May (Lowell, PA/Lowell Catholic) who defeated Jamie Goldman, 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (11-9) at the No. 4 singles spot to improve to 2-0 this season. Sophomore Jake Hoover (Morrisville, PA/Notre Dame) also played well losing in a third set tie-breaker, 10-3.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, March 28th when they host The University of Scranton in a Freedom Conference match beginning at 3:30 pm.
