Men’s Lacrosse drops Fifth Straight, 20-4, at Messiah

Sophomore Andrew Ervin had one goal and one assist in the loss at Messiah.
 
Grantham, PA (April 21, 2007) – The DeSales University men’s lacrosse dropped its fifth straight game on Saturday afternoon falling to Messiah College, 20-4, in an MAC Conference game in Grantham.
 
        The loss drops the Bulldogs to 7-7 overall and 2-6 in the MAC, while the Falcons improve to 8-4 overall and 8-0 in the MAC.  DSU fell behind 9-1 after the first period and were never able to get back into the game as MC led, 13-2, at the half before posting the final margin.
 
        DSU was led by freshman Adam Eddinger (Bally, PA/Boyertown) who scored two of the four goals.  Sophomore Danny Larkin (Holladay, UT/Olympus) and sophomore Andrew Ervin (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) each had one goal.  Ervin, sophomore Matthew Brancaccio (Greenvale, NY/North Shore) and junior Sam Gobeli (Baltimore, MD/Archbishop Curley) each had one assist in the loss.
 
        Freshman Jarryd Stamatelos (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) and senior Ben Conroy (Easton, PA/Moravian Academy) each had 10 saves in one half of action.
 
        The Bulldogs will return to action on Wednesday, April 25th when they host Drew University in an MAC Conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
