Mahwah, NJ (September 15, 2007) – The DeSales University field hockey team once again had trouble finding the back of the cage as the Bulldogs were shutout for the second straight game falling to Ramapo College, 1-0, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
DSU (2-4 overall) controlled play for almost the entire game out-shooting Ramapo (2-4 overall) 28-7 in the game but were unable to get on the scoreboard. With the score still deadlocked in a 0-0 tie RC broke thru with the lone goal of the game at the 55:17 mark as Sara Weimer scored off a feed from Kimberly Raimondi.
DSU also held a 16-4 edge in penalty corners as sophomore Molly Pope (Elkrdige, MD/Long Reach) made four saves in the loss.
DSU will look to break its four-game losing streak on Wednesday, September 19th when they travel to Albright College for a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
