Widener tops Womens Soccer, 5-0

Sophomore Katie Halpin made three saves in the 5-0 loss to Widener on Wednesday night.

Chester, PA (September 19, 2007) – The DeSales University women's soccer team was blanked for the third time this season falling to Widener University, 5-0, in a non-conference game under the lights on Wednesday evening.
 
        Widener (6-1-1 overall) scored three times in the first half and two more times in the second half to provide the final margin. WU held a 20-5 edge in shots as the loss is the second straight for the Bulldogs who move to 1-5-1 overall on the season.
 
        Sophomore Katie Halpin (Easton, PA/Notre Dame) made three saves in between the pipes for the Bulldogs in the loss.

      DeSales will return to action on Sunday, September 23rd when they travel to Catholic University for a non-conference game beginning at 1:00 pm.
