Volleyball Wins Fourth Straight, 3-0 over Gwynedd-Mercy

Sophomore Jen Mellon totaled a team-high 17 kills in the win over Gwynedd-Mercy College on Thursday evening.

Gwynedd-Valley, PA (September 20, 2007) – The DeSales University volleyball team recorded its fourth straight win and the seventh victory in its last eight matches topping Gwynedd-Mercy College, 3-0 (30-12, 30-21, 30-17), in a non-conference match on Thursday evening.
 
        DSU improves to 9-4 overall with the win as sophomore Jen Mellon (Media, PA/Penncrest) and junior Joann Rivera (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) again led the way totaling 30 kills, 17 for Mellon and 13 for Rivera.
 
        Freshmen Kylie Fehnel (Nazareth, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) and Lauren Pacenta (Pottsville, PA/Nativity BVM) each had two blocks, sophomore Kerri Andrews (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) totaled a team-high 23 digs and junior Sharon Uliana (Fleetwood, PA/Reading Central Catholic) finished with 36 assists and 13 digs in the win.
 
        DSU will return to action next week when they host Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference match on Wednesday, September 26th at 7:00 pm.
