York hands Women's Soccer 2-0 Loss

Sophomore Katie Halpin totaled six saves in goal for the Bulldogs.

York, PA (September 25, 2007) – The DeSales University women's soccer team fell for the fourth straight time on Tuesday afternoon losing to York College (PA), 2-0, in a non-conference game for both teams.
 
        The Spartans opened the scoring in the game's tenth minute as senior Emily Sullivan flipped a through pass to junior Jill Stanley. Stanley collected the pass and flipped it by an on-rushing sophomore Katie Halpin (Easton, PA/Notre Dame) for the goal.
 
        The score stood into the half until York put an insurance goal on the board in the 53rd minute as Caitlin Allen drilled a free kick to the far post that Sullivan finished. York held a 22-9 edge in shots as Halpin made six saves for DeSales in between the pipes.

        DeSales will return to action on Saturday, September 29th when they host Lebanon Valley College in another non-conference game beginning at 1:00 pm.
