Five in a Row for Volleyball with 3-0 Win over Delaware Valley

Sophomore Kerri Andrews totaled 21 digs and eight service aces in the win on Wednesday evening.

Center Valley, PA (September 26, 2007) – The DeSales University volleyball team has strung together a five-match winning streak for the first time since the 2000 season with a 3-0 (30-15, 30-16, 30-11) win over Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference match on Wednesday evening in Billera Hall.
 
        The Bulldogs improve to 10-4 overall and 3-0 in the Freedom Conference with the win, while the Aggies fall to 6-7 overall and 0-3 in the Freedom. Sophomore Kerri Andrews (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) led the way this time totaling 21 digs on defense and recording eight service aces in the win.
 
        Junior Joann Rivera (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) had a team-high 14 kills and sophomore Jen Mellon (Media, PA/Penncrest) added 10 kills on the offensive end. Junior Sharon Uliana (Fleetwood, PA/Reading Central Catholic), the Freedom Conference Player of the Week last week, also contributed with 30 assists and six digs in the win.

         The Bulldogs will return to action on Saturday, September 29th when they host Cedar Crest College and Rutgers-Camden in a home tri-match beginning at 10:00 am.
