BOX SCORE

Center Valley, PA (September 29, 2007) – Junior Dana Eustace (Highland Lakes, NJ/Vernon Township) led the DeSales University women's soccer team past Lebanon Valley College with two goals in a 2-1 win over the Flying Dutchmen on Homecoming Saturday afternoon.

Eustace, who had been held with just one goal thru the first nine games, exploded on Saturday scoring twice, each time on assists by junior Jessica Baker (Chruchville, PA/St. Basil Academy), lead DeSales to its second win of the season.

Eustace' first tally came at the 15:56 mark of the first half when she took a pass from Baker and scored from about 18 yards out. The 1-0 lead stood into halftime before LVC (6-4 overall) tied the score at the 54:30 mark when a kick from the DeSales (2-7-1 overall) goalie ricocheted off Jennifer DiMauro and into the net. DiMauro was credited with an unassisted goal on the play.

The score remained tied into the 86th minute when Eustace and Baker hooked up again at the 85:53 mark as a crossing pass was volleyed home from six yards out to give DSU the 2-1 win.

DSU held an 18-4 edge in shots as sophomore Katie Halpin (Easton, PA/Notre Dame) made two saves in between the pipes for the Bulldogs.

DeSales returns to action on Monday afternoon hosting Albright College in a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
