Womens Soccer drops Season Opener, 3-0, at Simmons College

Sophomore Katie Halpin stopped two shots in the 3-0 loss at Simmons on Sunday.

Boston, MA (September 2, 2007) – The DeSales University women's soccer team allowed three first-half goals and dropped its 2007 season opener, 3-0, at Simmons College (MA) on Sunday afternoon in Boston, MA.

Simmons scored all three of its goals in the opening half as both teams finished with 14 shots and Simmons held a 4-2 edge in corner kicks. Sophomore Katie Halpin (Easton, PA/Easton) made two saves in between the pipes in the loss.

DSU returns to action on Wednesday, September 5^th when they travel to Drew University for another non-conference game beginning at 7:00 pm.
