Bulldogs Score 3-1 Win at Misericordia; #3 Seed in Freedom Playoffs

Dallas, PA (October 29, 2008) – The DeSales University volleyball team concluded its regular season Freedom Conference schedule with a 3-1 (25-13, 21-25, 25-15, 25-18) win over Misericordia University on Wednesday evening to finish as the #3 seed for next week's Freedom Conference playoffs.

The Bulldogs move to 18-11 overall and 6-2 in the Freedom as they will travel to the #2 seed, FDU-Florham, for the first game of the conference playoffs next Wednesday, time to be announced.

Sophomore Kylie Fehnel (Nazareth, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) led the way on Wednesday with 11 kills and five blocks. Senior Ashley Grube (Orwigsburg, PA/Blue Mountain) added seven kills and five blocks, while fellow senior Joann Rivera (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) had 10 kills.

Junior Jen Mellon (Media, PA/Penncrest) totaled seven kills, senior Sharon Uliana (Fleetwood, PA/Reading Central Catholic) had 35 assists and three blocks, junior Kerri Andrews (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) totaled a team-high 19 digs and sophomore Alyssa Poplaski (Mechanicsburg, PA/Mechanicsburg) finished with 17 digs.

The Bulldogs will finish its regular season schedule on Saturday when they host Neumann College (10 AM) and Richard Stockton College (2 PM) in a tri-match.
