Mens Lax Records Second Straight Win, 14-8, over Clark (MA)

Senior Dan Thomer had five goals in the win on Saturday over Clark.

Myrtle Beach, SC (March 8, 2008) – The DeSales University men's lacrosse team won its second straight game to even its overall record at 2-2 with a 14-8 win over Clark University (MA) in a Saturday afternoon game played down south in Myrtle Beach, SC.
 
        Senior Dan Thomer (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) and junior Matthew Brancaccio (Greenvale, NY/North Shore) led the scoring attack as Thomer scored five goals and Brancaccio added two goals and four assists in the win.
 
        Sophomore Matthew Kruszewski (Atco, NJ/Winslow Township) scored three goals, senior Jay Young (Pittstown, NJ/North Hunterdon) added two goals and freshman Whit Bruemmer (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) and senior Shane Corley (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) each had one goal to round out the scoring.
 
        Senior John Tosco (Hampton, NJ/Voorhees) and freshman Donald Clemens (Baldwin, NY/Baldwin) each had one assist, while senior James Ramsey (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) picked up a team-high six ground balls and junior Jimmy Hirsch (Putnam Valley, NJ/Putnam Valley) totaled five ground balls.
 
        Sophomore Jarryd Stamatelos (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) totaled 10 saves and freshman Justin Campanelli (Langhorne, PA/Neshaminy) had three stops in between the pipes. Corley (6-for-8) and fellow senior Sam Gobeli (Baltimore, MD/Archbishop Curley) (7-for-16) led the face-off attack.

         DSU returns to action on Wednesday, March 12th when they host Immaculata University in a non-conference game beginning at 3:30 pm.
