#4 Lebanon Valley Hands Bulldogs Third Straight Defeat, 8-0

Sophomore Melissa Gilroy had one shot on goal in the loss at Lebanon Valley on Thursday.

Annville, PA (September 18, 2008) – The DeSales University field hockey team suffered its third straight loss on a beautiful Thursday afternoon, falling to fourth ranked Lebanon Valley College, 8-0, in a non-conference game.

The Flying Dutchmen (5-1 overall) rebounded from its only loss of the season last time out by scoring six times in the first half to open up a commanding 6-0 lead and never looked back from there. LVC out-shot DeSales (3-4 overall), 33-5, in the game and held a 17-8 edge in penalty corners.

Senior Marian Karnas (Burlington Township, NJ/Burlington Township) made 17 saves in her first collegiate start in goal in the loss.

DeSales returns to action on Saturday, September 20^th when they travel to Widener University for another non-conference game beginning at 1:00 pm.
