Center Valley, PA, (September 3, 2008) – Senior Dana Eustace (Highland Lakes, NJ/Vernon Township) scored her first career hat trick and the DeSales University women's soccer team broke the team record for most goals in a game in a 9-0 route of local rival Cedar Crest College in a non-conference game on Wednesday afternoon.

Eustace tied the single-game record with her three tallies as she scored the first three goals of the game to give DSU a commanding lead. Her first goal was assisted by freshman Amanda Fink (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth), the second by junior Lauren Wiggins (Whitehall, PA/Allentown Central Catholic), and the third by freshman Laura Wroge (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic).

The team record of nine goals breaks the old mark of seven goals which had been done on four previous occasions. DeSales improves to 2-0 overall as they have yet to allow goal this season. DSU enjoyed a healthy 38-6 advantage on shots and had a 4-3 edge in corner kicks in the win.

Also scoring goals in the win were junior Gina Locke (Gardner, MA/Gardner), Fink, junior Katie Halpin (Bethlehem, PA/Notre Dame), freshman Sophie DeVincentis (Timonium, MD/Notre Dame Prep), sophomore Laura Flynn (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge), and Wroge. DeVincentis, Halpin, and Flynn also had assists, while Halpin and senior Jessica Baker (Chruchville, PA/St. Basil Academy) combined to make three saves in recording the shutout.

DSU returns to the pitch on Friday when they take on The University of Scranton at Muhlenberg College beginning at 5:00 pm.
