Barry Leads Bulldogs Back to Win Column, 3-0 over Ramapo

Pomona, NJ (September 5, 2008) – Junior Keith Barry (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) recorded his second shutout of the season leading the DeSales University men's soccer team past Ramapo College in the first game of the weekend tournament at Richard Stockton College on Friday evening.

Barry made five saves and has now started the season with 225:00 consecutive scoreless minutes after recording a shutout in the first game of the season and playing the first half of the second game of the season, also a shutout win for the Bulldogs.

Freshman Derek Long (Wernersville, PA/Conrad Weiser) continued his scoring, getting DSU (3-1 overall) on the board at the 52:26 mark of the second half on an assist from junior Dustin Sturm (North Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May).

Senior German Reyes (Beach Lake, PA/Honesdale) made it 2-0 on a penalty kick mid-way thru the second half and junior Marc Leonard (Bondville, VT/Burr and Burton Academy) scored his first goal of the season off an assist from senior David Ackley (North Cape May, NJ/Lower Cape May) to round out the scoring.

Ramapo held a 17-13 edge in shots, while DeSales enjoyed a 6-4 advantage on corner kicks. The Bulldogs will take on tournament host Richard Stockton College on Saturday beginning at 3:00 pm
