Pomona, NJ (September 7, 2008) – The DeSales University men's soccer team fell to tournament host, Richard Stockton College, 2-0, in the championship game of the Stockton Seashore Classic held over the weekend after being extended to Sunday due to the storm on Saturday.

Stockton (3-0-1 overall) took a 1-0 lead at the 16:08 mark of the first half as Pat Tolomeo scored his first of two goals. The lead stood into the half and the Ospreys added some insurance at the 59:09 mark when Tolomeo struck again to provide the final margin.

RSC out-shot the Bulldogs (3-2 overall), 17-7, in the game as junior Kevin Lawrence (Norristown, PA/Kennedy-Kenrick) made three saves in the first half and was relieved by fellow junior Keith Barry (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) in the second half. Barry made one save in the second half.

Senior Andrew Marshall (Greene, NY/Greene Central) and freshman Derek Long (Wernersville, PA/Conrad Weiser) were each named to the All-Tournament Team from DeSales.

DeSales returns to action Wednesday, September 10th when they travel to Lebanon Valley College for a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
