Purchase, NY (October 21, 2009) – The DeSales University men's soccer team was shutout for just the second time all season as the Bulldogs fell at Manhattanville College, 2-0, in a Freedom Conference game on another gorgeous afternoon.

DSU falls to 10-5 overall and 3-2 in the Freedom with the loss, while the Valiants stay unbeaten in the conference with a perfect 5-0 mark and are 10-4 overall. MVille controlled play, out-shooting DSU, 23-7, in the game but had to make two teams saves to keep the game scoreless and earn the win.

A scoreless game at the half remained scoreless into the 69th minute when MC broke the tie when Keston George scored off a rebound of a saved shot at the 68:55 mark. Just 2:56 later, Sebastian Chica, scored on a one-timer to the top corner, giving Manhattanville its insurance goal as the Bulldogs were unable to find the back of the net.

Senior Kevin Lawrence (Norristown, PA/Kennedy-Kenrick) made six saves in his third straight start. DeSales returns to action on Saturday, October 24th when they travel to Misericordia University for another critical Freedom Conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
