The Bulldogs improve to 7-2 overall with the win, while the Knights fall to 6-4-1 overall. DSU held an 11-6 lead edge in shots on the day, while Arcadia had a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks. Freshman Adam Franczak (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) continued his outstanding play in goal, making two saves to record his first shutout of the season in goal and lowering his goals against average to 1.30 on the year.

After a scoreless first half, DSU got on the board with the eventual game-winner at the 55:59 mark when Long scored in the upper corner on a crossing pass from freshman Steve Krause (New Tripoli, PA/Northwestern) who had gotten the ball on the end line from junior Aaron Gildner (Slatington, PA/Parkland).

The Bulldogs will now begin the important part of their schedule as they start Freedom Conference play on Saturday, October 3rd when they host Delaware Valley College beginning at 1:00 pm.
