Baltimore, MD (September 5, 2009) – Junior Jon Mill (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) scored his first goal as a Bulldog, 3:44 into the first overtime, lifting the DeSales University men's soccer team past Goucher College in the championship game of the Goucher College Soccer Classic Tournament this weekend in Baltimore, MD.

The Bulldogs improve to 3-0 on the season with the win for the first time since 1988 season. A scoreless game at the half, DSU found itself down on the scoreboard for the first time this season when Goucher's Evan Rosse scored unassisted at the 53:58 mark.

DSU remained one goal down over the next 29+ minutes before a pair of freshmen, Steve Krause (New Tripoli, PA/Northwestern) and Derek Long (Wernersville, PA/Conrad Weiser), connected for a goal at the 83:19 mark with Krause netting the tying marker off a feed from Nolan.

The game pushed into overtime where Mill took a long pass from senior Tony Aufiero (Wall, NJ/Wall) and planted it into the back of the net to hand DeSales the tournament championship trophy. Freshman Adam Franczak (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth), earned the win in goal making four saves after replacing senior Keith Barry (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central), who left the game just 4:56 into the contest.

The Bulldogs will put their unblemished record to start the year on the line on Wednesday, September 9th when they host Lebanon Valley College in the first game of the season at home beginning at 4:00 pm.
