Wilkes-Barre, PA (October 13, 2010) – The DeSales University women's soccer team was unable to find the back of the net on Wednesday evening falling to Wilkes University, 1-0, in a Freedom Conference game under the lights.

The Bulldogs (5-8-1, 0-2-1 Freedom) controlled play for most of the game out-shooting the Colonels (6-8, 2-1 Freedom), 14-9, while Wilkes enjoyed a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.

Wilkes scored its lone goal of the game, the eventual game-winner, in the 15th minute when Katie Cocchi scored unassisted. Junior Melissa Millili (Deptford, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) made three saves in the loss for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs will return to action with an important Freedom Conference game at home vs. Eastern University on Saturday beginning at 1:00 pm.
