Swarthmore, PA (November 10, 2010) – The DeSales University volleyball team saw its 2010 season come to an end on Wednesday evening with a 3-1 (21-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-16) loss at Swarthmore College in the opening round of the ECAC South Region Tournament.

The loss marked the end of a brilliant career for senior Kylie Fehnel (Nazareth, PA/Bethlehem Catholic). Fehnel was outstanding on Wednesday evening, tallying a team-high 15 kills and 27 digs to go along with three blocks. The 15 kills gave her 1,191 kills in her career and moved her into third place all-time at DeSales. She also finished with 1,295 career digs, also good for third place all-time, and totaled 292 career blocks, also third place all-time.

Also playing well for the Bulldogs (15-16 overall) on Wednesday were freshman Emilie Baker (Pottsville, PA/Nativity BVM) with eight kills, 19 digs, and two blocks, sophomore Justine McNulty (Collegeville, PA/Methacton) with 35 assists, 16 digs, and two blocks, sophomore Paige Horrigan (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin) with seven kills and five blocks, and sophomore Eden Reichard (Mertztown, PA/Brandywine Heights) with 17 digs.
