Pomona, NJ (September 10, 2010) – The DeSales University men's soccer team fell for the first time all season, snapping a four-game winning streak, with a 2-1 loss at Richard Stockton College in the opening round of the Seashore Classic Tournament this weekend.

The Bulldogs fall to 4-1 overall with the loss, while the Ospreys improve to 3-1 overall. RSC had a slight edge in shots, 14-10, and five corner kicks to the Bulldogs' three. Sophomore Adam Franczak (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) made four saves in the loss for DeSales.

Stockton took a 1-0 lead 11:50 into the game on an unassisted goal from Sean Nelson and that score stood into halftime. The Ospreys then added an insurance goal 7:46 into the second half as Kyle Evans netted a marker off an assist from Pat Langan.

The Bulldogs got on the board at the 71:01 mark of the game when junior Jonathan Balfour (London, England/Conestoga {PA}) scored off a free kick from senior Sky Rimmele (Lenhartsville, PA/Moravian Academy). The goal was Balfour's second of the season. The comeback fell short from there however as the Ospreys held on for the win.

DSU returns to action on Saturday as they take on Wesley College (DE) in the second game of the Seashore Classic Tournament. Game time is set for 4:30 pm.
