Center Valley, PA (September 15, 2010) – The DeSales University volleyball team saw its four-match winning streak come to an end on Wednesday evening, falling to #10 Eastern University, 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-15), in the first match of the Freedom Conference schedule for both teams this season.

The 10th ranked team in the country earned its 10th win of the season, while the Bulldogs fell to 5-3 overall with the loss. EU hit .343 for the match and had five team blocks.

Leading the Bulldogs were sophomore setter Justine McNulty (Collegeville, PA/Methacton) with three kills, 16 assists, and 11 digs, while sophomore Eden Reichard (Mertztown, PA/Brandywine) totaled a team-high 13 digs.

Senior Kylie Fehnel (Nazareth, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) had six kills and freshman Haley Petrarca (Reading, PA/Wyomissing) finished with four kills and no errors in the loss.

The Bulldogs return to action this Saturday when they host Goucher College (10 AM) and St. Mary's College (MD) (2 PM) in a home tri-match.
