Bulldogs Blanked at #5 Lebanon Valley

Annville, PA (September 16, 2010) – The DeSales University field hockey team dropped its second straight game falling to #5 Lebanon Valley College, 8-0, in a non-conference game on Thursday afternoon.

The Bulldogs fall to 4-2 with the loss, while the Flying Dutchmen stay undefeated with five straight wins to open the season. Lebanon Valley out-shot DeSales, 27-4, and held a 9-2 edge in penalty corners.

LVC scored all eight of its goals in the opening half including its first at the 5:29 mark of the game. Sophomore Victoria DelToro (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) had a solid game in between the pipes, stopping 10 shots in the loss.

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, September 18th when they travel to Widener University for another non-conference game beginning at Noon.
