Paige Horrigan (Mohnton, PA/Governor Mifflin) had a match-high 12 kills and committed just one hitting error for a .400 hitting percentage leading the DeSales University volleyball team past Delaware Valley College, 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-18), in Freedom Conference action on Tuesday in James Work Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs (7-4, 1-1 Freedom) hit .198 in the match, registered 65 total digs, had five total team blocks, and had eight service aces. Delaware Valley falls to 5-6, 1-1 Freedom on the season.
Sophomore
Justine McNulty (Collegeville, PA/Methacton) continued her stellar play at setter with 26 assists and 14 digs and sophomore libero
Eden Reichard (Mertztown, PA/Brandywine) also played well with a match-high 21 digs.
Senior
Kylie Fehnel (Nazareth, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) had six kills and nine digs, freshman
Haley Petrarca (Reading, PA/Wyomissing) added six kills and just one error, and freshman
Emilie Baker (Pottsville, PA/Nativity BVM) finished with three kills, five assists, 11 digs, and two blocks in the win.
The Bulldogs return to action tomorrow evening when they take to the road once again, traveling to Ursinus College for a non-conference match beginning at 7:00 pm.
