BOX SCORE
Center Valley, PA (October 11, 2011) – The DeSales University field hockey was unable to get back in the win column on Tuesday afternoon, dropping its fourth straight game, 2-0, at Albright College in a non-conference game.
A scoreless game at the half continued to be deadlocked into the 49th minute when Albright (4-10) scored on a shot from the center of the circle off a corner feed. The Lions then added the insurance goal with just over 12 minutes left and the Bulldogs (4-8) were unable to find the back of the cage for the fifth time this season.
Junior
Victoria DelToro kept DSU in the game all afternoon, making a season-high 12 saves in between the pipes, while sophomore
Sam Szathmary contributed a defensive save in the loss.
The Bulldogs return home and will look to right the ship on Thursday afternoon when they take on Richard Stockton College in another non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
