Center Valley, PA (October 13, 2011) – A tie game at the half was broken open by Richard Stockton with three straight goals to start the second stanza in a 4-2 win over DeSales University in a non-conference field hockey game on Thursday afternoon.

After RSC (7-5) took a 1-0 lead at the 16:45 mark, DSU (4-9) tied the game with exactly five minutes left in the second half when freshman Jenny Edward found fellow freshman Alison Malatesta in front of the net for Malatesta's team-leading fifth goal of the season.

The Ospreys wasted no time re-gaining the lead in the second half when Stephanie Reichardt scored with a loft over the goalkeeper's head off a corner feed from the right side just 2:44 into the half.  RSC added two more goals in the 56th and 66th minute before the Bulldogs sophomore Amanda Trickey scored off a feed from Malatesta who flicked the ball to Trickey after being tripped by the goalie with 1:41 left to play to provide the final margin.

Junior Victoria DelToro had a strong game in the cage, making 13 saves, including a penalty stroke stop early in the game when it was still scoreless.

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, October 15th when they travel to Wilkes University for a Freedom Conference game beginning at 1:00 pm.
