Center Valley, PA (October 22, 2011) – The DeSales University field hockey team had its chances but just weren't able to push one across the goalmouth, falling to Eastern University, 3-0, in Freedom Conference action on a chilly Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (4-13, 1-5 Freedom) suffer their ninth straight loss with the defeat as Eastern (8-8, 5-1 Freedom) out-shot DSU, 26-6, and held a 16-5 edge in penalty corners.

EU had a 1-0 lead at the half tanks to Katie Lipsit's first goal of the season and added two more goals in the second half to provide the final tally.

Junior Victoria DelToro had 12 saves and senior Meghan Sibiski made one defensive save for DeSales.

DSU will wrap-up its season on Tuesday when they host King's College in a Freedom Conference game beginning at 3:00 pm.
