York, PA (October 4, 2011) – Following consecutive rainouts last week the DeSales University field hockey team finally returned to the field for its first game in 10 days, falling to York College (PA), 2-0, in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.
York (6-6) out-shot the Bulldogs (4-5), 21-0, in the game and had a 6-1 edge in penalty corners. The Spartans struck first in the 29th minute, just 5:13 before the half an added the insurance marker at the 56:49 mark of the second half on a penalty corner shot deflection to earn the win.

Victoria DelToro made seven saves for the Bulldogs in the loss. DeSales returns to action on Thursday, October 6th when they host Arcadia University beginning at 4:00 pm.
