Bulldogs Win Eighth Straight, 3-0, at Manhattanville

Sophomore Madeline Svrcek stepped into the starting lineup on the outside at Manhattanville and had 11 kills in the win.

Purchase, NY (September 21, 2011) – Junior Paige Horrigan totaled 14 kills and hit .571 for the match leading the DeSales University volleyball team to its eighth straight win, 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-21), over Manhattanville College in a Freedom Conference match on Wednesday evening.

Sophomore Madeline Svrcek also played well, stepping in for injured sophomore Haley Petrarca on the outside and totaling 11 kills and 12 digs. Sophomore Emilie Baker totaled six kills and 11 digs on the right-side.

Junior Justine McNulty finished with 28 assists and five digs, junior Eden Reichard added 16 digs and two aces, and freshman Amanda Wallitsch totaled seven digs in the win.

The Bulldogs return to action this weekend when they travel to the Carnegie Mellon University Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
