Center Valley, PA (October 13, 2012) – The DeSales University field hockey out-shot Manhattanville College, 18-10, and had a 17-9 advantage in penalty corners but the Valiants took advantage of its opportunities scoring to take a 2-0 lead and a Bulldog comeback fell just short in DSU's eighth straight loss on the season.

After a scoreless first half, MC took a 1-0 lead at 44;15 on a goal from Kirsten Savage and added the much needed insurance goal at 53:23 from Kayla Meenan.  DSU responded as sophomore Alison Malatesta scored unassisted at 56:06, but despite knocking on the door a few times late in the game, the Bulldogs were unable to find the tying tally in the loss.

The Bulldogs will look to snap this losing streak on Tuesday when they take to the road, traveling to Misericordia University for another Freedom Conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
