Center Valley, PA (October 13, 2012) – The DeSales University men's soccer team trailed 1-0 and 2-1 but battled back twice to earn a hard fought 2-2 double overtime tie with Misericordia University on a crisp Fall Saturday afternoon.

After MU (9-4-2, 3-0-1 Freedom) scored just 2:41 into the game the Bulldogs (8-4-3, 2-1-1 Freedom) wasted no time tying the score up, just 3:31 later when senior Padraic Farrell knocked home a centering pass from freshman John Kilduff at 6:12.  Both teams battled the rest of the half as the score remained tied after 45 minutes of play.

Still tied entering the 71st minute, the Cougars again took the lead when Dan Pinto scored for the second time in the game off an assist from Eric Kishbaugh but once again DSU refused to go quietly, striking fast and re-tying the game just 6:34 later when freshman James Roche knocked home another centering pass from Kilduff.

Both teams had chances at the end of regulation and in the two overtime periods but each came up empty settling for the tie.  Sophomore Colin Sulpizio made five saves for the Bulldogs.

DSU returns to action on Wednesday in an important Freedom Conference game with Manhattanville College beginning at 3:00 pm.
