Doylestown, PA (October 16, 2012) – Four different players recorded eight or more kills and the Bulldogs hit .230 as a team, sweeping Delaware Valley College, 3-0 (25-20, 25-12, 25-19), on Tuesday evening at James Work Gymnasium to stay undefeated in Freedom Conference play this season.

DSU had 41 kills and just nine errors to improve to 12-15 overall and 6-0 in the Freedom, setting up the final regular season game of the year next week vs. Eastern University, who is also undefeated in the Freedom, with the winner earning the #1 seed in the Freedom Conference playoffs.  That match is set for Wednesday evening in Billera Hall at 7:00 pm.

Junior Macy Farrell, sophomore Julie Blessing, and senior Paige Horrigan each had nine kills in the win on Tuesday night, while senior Eden Reichard added eight kills.  Reichard also had 16 digs, P. Horrigan finished with five blocks, and Farrell and Blessing each had two blocks.

Sophomore Brooke Horrigan continued to do a terrific job at the setter position, dishing out 37 assists and adding 16 digs.  Sophomore Amanda Wallitsch led the defense with 22 digs and junior Emilie Baker chipped in with 20 digs in the win.

The Bulldogs return to action on Thursday evening when they host local rival Moravian College in a non-conference match beginning at 7:00 pm in Billera Hall.
