Lancaster, PA (October 2, 2012) – Freshman Stevie Castellani scored his second goal of the season but two unanswered goals by the Diplomats in the second-half erased a 1-1 tie at the break as the DeSales University men's soccer team saw its unbeaten streak come to an end at five with a 3-1 loss on Tuesday evening at Franklin & Marshall College.

After the Bulldogs (7-3-2) fell behind 1-0 in just the 2nd minute on a goal from F&M's Ben Beaver, Castellani tied the game just under seven minutes later whipping a looping shot inside the near post on a breakaway with the goalkeeper.

The game remained tied into the break before the Dips took the lead for good when Sam Miller scored after sophomore Colin Sulpizio saved an initial shot but Miller was there to fire in the rebound.  F&M added its insurance goal with 2:21 left when Jacob Miller flicked in a long throw just under the hand of Sulpizio from point blank range.

Sulpizio had six saves in the loss.

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday when they host King's College in another Freedom Conference game beginning at 3:00 pm.
