Box Score
Center Valley, PA (September 1, 2012) – The DeSales University men's soccer team was unable to find the back of the net on Saturday afternoon, battling Elizabethtown College to a scoreless tie in a non-conference game and the first meeting between the two teams since the 1991 season.

DSU (1-0-1) had chances and near misses in the second half and overtime with the first coming off a header from senior Jonathan Balfour to the near post mid-way thru the second half that was stopped by a diving Blue Jay keeper.

Senior Tyler Nolan also almost ended the game in the first overtime when his head ball was cleared off the post by an Elizabethtown defender preserving the shutout.

DSU held a 16-13 edge in shots and a 9-5 advantage in corner kicks.  Sophomore Colin Sulpizio made a couple of nice stops in the second half and finished with seven saves to earn his first shutout of the year.

The Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Lebanon Valley College for a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
