DSU Opens Conference Schedule with 3-0 Win over King’s

Sophomore Amanda Wallitsch led the way with 25 digs in the 3-0 win over King's on Wednesday.

Wilkes-Barre, PA (September 12, 2012) – Sophomore Amanda Wallitsch totaled a team-high 25 digs and the DeSales University volleyball team had seven team blocks as the Bulldogs blanked King's College, 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-9), to open Freedom Conference play on Wednesday evening.

DSU hit .200 for the match led by senior Eden Reichard with seven kills.  Freshman Kait Anderson and sophomore Julie Blessing added six kills and senior Paige Horrigan had five kills.

Reichard added three aces and 20 digs, Blessing had four blocks, and Anderson and Horrigan added three blocks.  Sophomore Brooke Horrigan totaled 21 assists in the win.

DSU returns to action on Friday and Saturday when they Bulldogs compete at the Salisbury University Invitational.
