Immaculata, PA (September 12, 2012) – Seniors Steve Krause and Jonathan Balfour each scored two goals as the DeSales University men's soccer team got back on track with a 6-0 win over Immaculata University in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (4-2-1) dominated play from the very start out-shooting the Mighty Macs (0-4), 23-7, for the game and holding a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Krause opened the scoring with his first tally of the season, scoring unassisted at the 23:00 minute mark and Balfour made it 2-0 just 23 seconds later on an assist from Krause.  Balfour scored again just before the half off an assist from senior Padraic Farrell to make it a three-goal game at the break.

In the second half, Krause again started the scoring with an unassisted tally just 8:31 into the half.  Junior Matt Metzler made it 5-0 with his first goal of the season and freshman Darby Alafoginis provided the final tally with his first career goal off an assist from junior Michael Ruh in the 70th minute.

Sophomores Colin Sulpizio and Morgan Bryan each made two saves to share the shutout.

The Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday when they host local rival Muhlenberg College in a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
