Center Valley, PA (September 18, 2012) – The long awaited 2012 home opener for the DeSales University volleyball team didn't last long as the Bulldogs made quick work of Manhattanville College, 3-0, in a match lasted that barely lasted 50 minutes.

DSU (6-9, 2-0 Freedom) swept the Valiants for the sixth time in six career meetings by scores of 25-6, 25-11, 25-9.  The Bulldogs hit a blistering .398 for the match and totaled six team blocks, while also serving up eight aces.

Leading the attack was senior Eden Reichard with 10 kills, a .500 hitting percentage, and a team-high 14 digs.  Senior Paige Horrigan had eight kills and five blocks, freshman Kait Anderson finished with seven kills, sophomore Julie Blessing had six kills, and junior Macy Farrell added five kills and two blocks in the win.

Sophomore Amanda Wallitsch chipped in with 10 digs and four service aces and sophomore Brooke Horrigan totaled 28 assists.

DSU returns to action this weekend when travel to the US Coast Guard for three matches on Friday and Saturday.
