Center Valley, PA (September 26, 2012) – Senior Steve Krause scored three goals, giving him 25 for his career, and leading the DeSales University men's soccer team past Albright College, 4-2, on Wednesday afternoon giving head coach George Crampton win #150 in his 14-year career on the sidelines at DeSales.

Crampton is now 150-107-17 (.578) in his 14th year as the Bulldogs improve to 6-2-2 on the season and are now unbeaten in four straight games.  The Lions fall to 6-4 on the year.

Krause connected twice in the first half, each time off an assist from fellow senior Padraic Farrell.  The first came at the 17:14 mark when Farrell sent a thru ball to a streaking Krause who beat a charging GK and touched it into the net.

Just 5:33 later the two connected for a second time, this time as Farrell sent a long pass over the top into the box.  Krause settled the ball and fired a shot inside the far post giving DSU a 2-0 lead that stood into halftime.

Krause finished off his hat trick just 1:19 into the second half as he dribbled along the right end line and fired a centering pass that deflected off the keeper and into the net just before an Albright defender had a realistic chance to clear it off the line.

After 15+ minutes of scoreless action, Albright got on the board, scoring in the 65th minute on a Kiko DeLeon header on a corner kick.

DeSales wasted no time getting the goal back as senior Tyler Nolan scored on a throw-in just 2:48 later as his throw glanced off a defender's foot and into the corner of the net just past the Lion goalkeeper.

The Lions however refused to go away scoring 2:01 later as Austin Phillips was unmarked on a free kick in the box and scored from point blank range to make it 4-2, but the Bulldog defense tightened up from that point as DSU secured its third win in the last four games.

Sophomore Colin Sulpizio made two saves in the win.

DSU returns to action on Saturday when they host Eastern University in the first Freedom Conference game of the season and a rematch of last year's Freedom Conference semifinal match-up won by the Eagles, 3-0.  Game time is 3:00 pm on Homecoming Saturday at DeSales.
